What is your favorite thing to do when you're at home?Maddie Says...
Hi Allie.I like to play with my friends outside when I am home. We play cops and robbers, soccer and baseball. Most of the kids in my neighborhood are boys or girls that like boy things. Sometimes my friends from school come over and we play make up and dress up, but the girls in my neighborhood don't like to dress up so I play out door things with them and my little brother. Sometimes we roller blade or ride bikes as well.

Hey Maddie, if you had a chance to attend a hollywood event like a premier or award show. would you? and what would you where?! thanksMaddie Says...
Yes I would love to go. I think it would be a lot of fun. If it was a premier, I would want to wear something a little funky I think. Maybe with some of my high wedge shoes. I love them but mom doesn't let me wear them very often. I love to dress up though but don't get to for school or auditions usually. I htink it would be cool to go to a premier. Thanks for writing.

Sarah Asked
Your dance photos are incredible - do you ever get nervous when you compete or perform? What advice would you give to people before a competition?Maddie Says...
Thank you. I love to dance and enjoy being on stage and in front of the camera. No I really don't get nervous, but at the World competition last year, I kind of got nervous right before I had to go on stage with a speech. I had practiced a speech but when we got to the competition I was in my dance outfit, and I needed to be in my formal dress. They also told us a bunch of rules and things we couldn't say on stage. My mom and teacher were trying to help me change quickly and I was worried because most of my speech couldn't be said. I had to come up with one while I was up there. That made me nervous and then my eyes watered a little and my makeup ran. It was funny because I was on stage in the wings being announced and my mom was tyring to fix my eye makeup. Usually I am fine though and don't get nervous, just focused. Just relax and have fun. You can only do your best. If you think you can do a triple, go for it. Sometimes my teachers like to pull me back and be safe. Sometimes I listen and sometimes I don't. It just depends on my mood and who I have seen compete before me. I like to win... Thanks for asking. Maddie
Madisyn Asked:
Hey Maddie, If you had the chance would you attend a Hollywood event like a movie premier or charity event? keep up the great work!!From Madisyn
Maddie Says...
Madisyn,I like how you spell your name. Do you have a nickname like me? Yes, I think it would be fun to go to a charity event and I would LOVE to go to a Hollywood event sometime. Its just hard not living that close, but my mom said I could go if it was ever a big event I was in of course. Maybe this next year I will be able to. It always seems to go on when I am busy with other stuff like a dance competition or my brothers have something going on. Mom likes us having seperate lives she says. I guess thats why we live where we do. Away from everything. She says its important to have a seperate life.
I am sorry this took so long. My mom emailed it but I think it got lost or something so she sent it again. Thanks for being so nice and waiting so long.

Ellen Asked:
Hi Maddie! What I was wondering is...
1) When you see other celebrities around (if you do), do you ever get really excited, like a "fan moment"?? haha.
2) What are auditions like for you? Like, what kind of things do you have to do?
3) What is the tv show you would most love to be on??
Thanks so much for reading! Can't wait to see more of your projects!
Oh, and my little sister wanted me to say that her nickname is Maddie too! But her name's Madeline not Madison. :] haha.
Well, good luck with everything!
Maddie Says...
1) I really don't think about it that much, but if it was Hannah Montana....I would be REALLY excited!2) It depends on the audition and if its for a commercial or theatrical. In a commercial audition you sometimes may have to pretend to eat something, or even really eat something if its a food commercial. One time at a hot dog commercial they didn't get the hot dogs or buns there yet so we had to pretend with bread. We have to slate, do our lines or the actions they ask us to do and then sometimes talk with them about whatever comes to mind. Its a lot of fun.
3) Hannah Montana...I LOVE it and was sad when I went to producers to play young Lily but didn't get the spot. I LOVE THAT SHOW!
Thats cute about your sister. She spells her nickname like I do. Cool!

Claudia Asked:
What TV shows do you like to watch?Do you like Harry Potter?
Do you have something coming up?
and last but not least if you had to choose between acting and dancing, what would you choose?
Maddie Says...
Claudia,Thanks for writing to me.
My favorite shows to watch are Hanna Montana, Suite Life, Corey in the House and of course Grey's when mom lets me. I really like the books of Harry Potter the best.
I had several close things but didn't get them. Everything seems to be booking darker haired kids right now.
I don't think I could choose between the 2. I love them both, but next year I won't be competing dance anymore. At least I don't think so. This is my last year competing in dance, but I will still train. Mom said I have to choose and I am doing too much she sais. I take singing lessons, play soccer, take gymnastics classes as well as my dance and acting. It gets crazy mom says with all the stuff my brothers do also. Next year I think I want to try cheerleading. The head coaches have been asking me to try it. Grey's Rocks!
Lauren Asked:
01. Where do you keep all you're letters from your fans?02. Do people ever notice that you're famous when you go out in public?
Maddie Says...
Lauren, I keep my fan mail in a binder in these clear folders my mom got. That way I can look at the letters again if I want to or if I need to look up a question a fan asked. I keep all my drawings fans make in there also.Sometimes people recognize me. At a couple of dance competitions I had some teachers back stage who kept looking at me when I was warming up and they asked if I was on Grey's. It usually happens in Abercrombie and Abercrombie for kids though. They always seem to know me. I remember one time I had gone to the mall right after gymnastics with a friend and I didn't have clothes to change in, my mom was bringing them. When my mom got there the girls at the register were asking for a picture with me. I said sure, but mom said, wait at least let her change please. It was funny. I guess she didn't want me in my gymnastics clothes. I love signing autographs though and taking pictures. Its fun and I really don't mind at all.
Thanks for asking!
Abbey Asked:
1. Who is your agency and do you have a role model?Maddie Says...
Hi Abbey. My agency is AEF. That stands for Amsel, Eisenstadt & Fraizier. I just signed with them last year when my agent moved to there agency. My brother's and I love our agents. I would like to be in big movies like Dakota Fanning I think. I think she is a great actress and plays her parts well.
Angela Asked:
Heyy Maddie! You did an amazing job on Grey's Anatomy! It's my favorite show. The two episodes you were in were so good and you made them even better! I'm so glad that you have a fansite! I have a few questions for you... 1. Did you get to meet Katherine Heigl (Izzie) while you were on the set of Grey's Anatomy?2. Other than Ellen Pompeo, what other cast members did you get to meet?
3. I know you are a little young to watch the show , but did you continue to watch Grey's Anatomy after you finished filming your two episodes?
4. In between takes or before you started filming, what did you and Ellen Pompeo talk about?
Maddie Says...
1. No we didn't work at the same time but I saw her a few times in between shifts.
2. I worked with Patrick Demsey and I met a few others really quick qhile they were having lunch and I was banking school hours. Most of my time was with Ellen and Patrick.
3. I try to when my mom and dad would let me. My dad tends to forget to tivo it for me and then I miss it. GRRRRRR!
4.It was super cold and we were trying to stay warm inside the tent. She was usually going over her lines but would talk with me sometimes also. She would ask me about how I was doing in school and I remember her saying something about how she was suprised I didn't complain about the long hours in the cld. I thougth "why would I complain? I LOVE it." Thanks for watching me!
Courtney Asked:
Heyy Maddie! Do u do pointe? when did u start???
Maddie Says...
Hi Courtney. No, I do not do pointe yet because my teacher says I am still to young. I do take ballet 2-3 times a week. At least I did before I got sick. I am trying to get back in shape still now. Thanks for asking though. My teachers daughter is awesome! She is in New York right now playing the role of Juliet in a ballet about Romeo and Juliet. She is really really good. She became a principle for the New York ballets at 16 or 17 yrs old. AMAZING!
Do you like ballet?

Lesley Asked:
1. Whats your favorite food?
2. When did you decide you wanted to be an actress?
3. If you had to pick between dance and acting, which would you pick?
4. Whats your motivation to cry in scenes?
XOXOX Lesley
Maddie Says...
Hi Lesley,
1) My favorite food is Reeses Peanut Butter cup ice cream. I love it!
2) I wanted be an actress when I was really little because I was always with my mom when my big brother auditioned. But when I was about 2 or 3 years old I got scared and didn't want to be an actress anymore. I even blew it at an audition my mom said. I later told her it was because I was afraid of getting stuck in the television. I didn't know how I would get out. This story actually got the attention of the agent who got me my first pilot. I have loved acting ever sense.
3) Thats hard because they help eachother and I love both. Acting has helped me in my lyrical to show emotion and my dance and conditioning has helped me in performing certain things for acting. I would definately give up a dance competition for an acting job though. I have had to do this many times before and thats ok. I LOVE dance though and want to keep training even if it means I can't compete.
4) Crying on command is a technique you have to learn. Everybody is different my coach says. I use my stomache muscles and have to imagine the scene itself. That doesn't work for everybody though. I tried teaching my younger brother that trick and he couldn't do it. He liked me to hit him. Just kidding! I practice my crying at least once a week to keep my muscles working well. Its important to imagine the scene and why you have to cry though. Sometimes its hard to stay in that mood though. I know on Grey's I would warm up and being crying really hard and people kept asking me "are you ok?" Some would try to make me smile not realizing it was making it hard for me to stay in character. Even Ellen was worried about me warming up and asked if I was ok. My mom said people asked her if I wasn't liking working that day. She told them I was warming up my scene.
Thanks for asking.
Love, Maddie
Lidia Asked:
1. What was your favorite moment on the set of Grey's Anatomy? What about Love's Abiding Joy then? 2. What is your dream job?Maddie Says...
1. My favorite job on Grey's was working with all the blood. I loved it and thought it was cool how they made the fake blood look real. The bloody scenes were my favorite!I had fun dressing up and acting like I was in the old days on Love's Abiding Joy. It was cool pretending to go to school and use small chalk boards to write on instead of paper. I'm glad we don't use them now though. Too messy! 2. My dream job would be working on a huge movie and getting to work with Ashley Tisdale. She's so cool!Back » Forward » Home
